This year's cycling adventure is going to involve 850 ish miles and hopefully lots of yummy food. The pedalling will start in Calais and pootle through Normandy, the Loire valley, the Massif Central (could be a bit lumpy there), all the way to the Mediterranean. The biking part of the trip finishes in Carcassone but as Rusty is driving Blue Babe van, we will then be driving back up the west coast munching shellfish for 3 days.
Sadly Blue Babe bike is no longer with us so Bob the speedy new steed will be powering me along.
Fortunately work has helped rather than hindered training this year as I've been teaching some days in Cambridge, so could happily bike commute instead of impersonating a sardine on London transport.
All we need now is non-stop sunshine and absolutely no rain....
